Contein £250m splurge
CHELSEA will back boss Antonio Conte with a £250million spending spree.
Conte has clashed with Marina Granovskaia, Blues owner Roman Abramovich’s chief negotiator, as he bids to increase his power base at the club.
Claims in Italy also suggest Conte is unhappy at Granovskaia’s unwillingness to meet the high price tags placed on some of his targets.
But Chelsea are to press ahead with plans to sign £50m defender Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus.
They are also in advanced negotiations to land £40m midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco.
The club are expected to confirm the arrival of £75m striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton and have another Juventus player, left-back Alex Sandro, in their sights.
