CELTIC’S hopes of landing Patrick Roberts permanently suffered another blow last night when it emerged the winger will join Manchester City for their USA tour.

It is understood that Pep Guardiola wants to take a closer look at the 20-year-old who spent 18 months on loan at Parkhead.

Celtic held talks with City but have all but given up on landing Roberts who is set to head Stateside for glamour pre-season friendlies.
