Superstar singer and hubby Jay Z ‘thrilled’ by births
BEYONCE and Jay Z have welcomed twins, according to reports in the US.
Several news outlets claim the singer gave birth last week but the exact date of the birth and gender of the babies remain unknown.
The superstar couple are yet to confirm the news but sources say they are “thrilled”, with one telling People magazine: “Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends.”
Singer Beyonce, 35, has been married to the 47-year-old rapper since 2008.
She announced her pregnancy in an Instagram photo in February. She captioned the image: “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over.
“We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters.”
It is the most-liked post in Instagram’s history.
The couple have a daughter, Blue Ivy, five. Fans had been speculating for days that the singer was in labour after security surrounded the UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles, where her sister Solange was spotted.
And Jay Z skipped the Songwriters Hall of Fame awards on Thursday despite being lined up to receive a special honour.
