Favourite Jo exits Lib Dem leader race
THE bookies’ favourite in the race to succeed Tim Farron as the Liberal Democrat leader has ruled herself out of the job.
Jo Swinson, the MP for East Dunbartonshire, near Glasgow, said most men “would run for leader like a shot”.
She added: “Just because a man would do it doesn’t make it the right thing to do.”
The new favourite for the job is the party’s health spokesman Norman Lamb, who is MP for North Norfolk.
