Cop appeal after gunman targets home

A GUNMAN who shot at a house was being hunted by police last night.

The shooting was reported at about 12.10am yesterday.

Police say the gunman was targeting a property in Woodburn Road, Dalkeith, Midlothian. No one was injured.

Chief Inspector Kenny Simpson appealed for witnesses.

He said: “I want to reassure residents that there will be an increase in patrols in the area over the coming days and anyone with concerns is welcome to speak to local officers.

“We’re particularly eager to trace a black older saloon-type vehicle, last seen heading in the direction of James Lean Avenue.”
