IT’S A GIRL FIRST PICTURE OF TOT Landfill search for RAF gunner continues

THE girlfriend of missing Corrie McKeague has announced the birth of his baby girl – on Father’s Day.

April Oliver, 21, posted a picture of her cradling the girl, who was born on Wednesday.

The tot, who has not yet been named, could be seen sleeping peacefully with her tiny hand outstretched from beneath a blanket.

April didn’t confirm when the baby was born and simply posted two hearts and a unicorn emoji alongside the heartwarming image on her Facebook page yesterday.

Corrie’s mum Nicola Urquhart also shared the news of her newborn granddaughter yesterday on the Find Corrie Facebook page.

Posting a picture of herself with the tot, Nicola wrote: “We have finally welcomed this beautiful little lady into the world.

“She is absolutely perfect. I am so very proud of April for getting her here safely.

“Both mummy and baby are doing well. Thank you so much for all your love and support x x x.” April, from Downham Market, Norfolk, was hospitalised two weeks ago after doctors feared the stress of Corrie’s disappearance might harm the baby.

She revealed she was expecting Corrie’s child two weeks after he went missing last September.

But the RAF gunner’s dad Martin McKeague claimed last month that Corrie, who is originally from Fife, knew she was pregnant days before he went missing. April, who had been dating Corrie for around five months at the time, previously shared a poignant black and white image of her baby bump.

In a message to her unborn baby, she wrote: “You bring me so much pain yet just as much joy.

“Your daddy would be so proud of you, my little one, and would love you as much as I do. Corrie will be part of both of us forever, no one can take that away.”

Corrie, 23, was last seen on September 24, after a night out in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk.

Police believe he is in a landfill site in Milton,Cambridgeshire, after CCTV footage last saw him entering a refuse area behind a Greggs in Bury St Edmunds.

Corrie’s mobile phone was tracked on a similar route to that of a bin lorry, which was found to have carried weight equivalent to a human body.

Police have been searching the landfill for more than 14 weeks, and have sifted 4000 tons of waste.

They are currently deciding whether to carry on with the landfill site hunt. The £1million search could move to an incinerator site.
