APPARENTLY, yoga is a better cure for back pain than painkiller­s or physio. In fairness, it has been practised for over 5000 years. Or if you’re in the DUP, since the beginning of time.

Chronic back pain is rife. A sharp stabbing pain in the back affects four out of five people in the UK at some point in our lives. The number rises to five out of five for people who have worked with Michael Gove.

Hard to talk to, moody and permanentl­y raging – just some of the words the teenagers used to describe their local train staff. ●Avocados with laser-printed barcodes are going on sale at M&S to reduce paper waste. It’s a shame as the paper barcode on an avocado is easily the most edible part.
