PARKHEAD LEGEND MURDO MacLEOD GIVES HIS VERDICT

- Fans like Rogic when he’s on the park but he isn’t there often enough

The Frenchman was being rated in the £25-30million bracket after his blistering form last season. Any bids in that region would be too good to turn down and would represent a superb piece of business. VERDICT: SELL CRAIG GORDON Has established himself as undisputed No.1 at Celtic and the club even knocked back interest from giants Chelsea. VERDICT: KEEP MIKAEL LUSTIG The popular Swede is a top performer who seems to be getting better and better. VERDICT: KEEP JOZO SIMUNOVIC Has been constantly linked with a move and saw a deal with Torino collapse last summer. The 22-year-old has gone through a bad time with injuries but when he’s fully fit people know he can play. I could see him moving to England. VERDICT: SELL KIERAN TIERNEY It would have to be a ridiculous offer to tempt Tierney away. The full-back has done so well in a short space of time but could still learn so much at Celtic before he earns a big-money move. VERDICT: KEEP ERIK SVIATCHENKO The Dane will want to play regular football and that is something Celtic cannot guarantee the stopper right now. VERDICT: SELL DEDRYCK BOYATA The former Manchester City defender has resurrected his career under Brendan Rodgers and will want to replicate last season’s form. He faces a spell on the sidelines following a knee injury but Celtic will be hoping the big Belgian recovers quickly. VERDICT: KEEP KOLO TOURE Looks certain to be kept on because of his vast experience and the fact he is making great inroads on the coaching side. VERDICT: KEEP SCOTT BROWN The heartbeat of the Celtic team. Broony was the gaffer on the park last season and it all stemmed from taking his lead from Rodgers off it. VERDICT: KEEP CALLUM McGREGOR Has come on leaps and bounds since Rodgers took over and is another who can continue his education by staying at the club. VERDICT: KEEP STUART ARMSTRONG Will be on the radar of clubs down south. He is a superb midfielder who can score goals and has pace plus good awareness. Armstrong is a player Celtic could cash in on now but he would benefit from another season in Scotland. VERDICT: KEEP NIR BITTON The Israeli is now on the fringes and has become a bit-part player. If Celtic get a reasonable bid this summer he could be let go. VERDICT: SELL MURDO MacLEOD firmly believes there won’t be a lot of departures at Celtic this summer because there is still so much more to be achieved under Brendan Rodgers. Major shareholder Dermot Desmond has hinted the squad that clinched last season’s Invincible Treble could be broken up. And former Hoops star MacLeod said: “I totally understand what Dermot is saying as Celtic may well let one or two players leave. But when you look at the squad I don’t think there will be a mass exodus.” Here Record Sport asks MacLeod to give his verdict on who should be heading for the Parkhead exit. CRISTIAN GAMBOA Another player who is on the periphery and has not featured all that much. It would be no surprise then to see the Costa Rican full-back move on this summer if an offer comes in. VERDICT: SELL TOM ROGIC The supporters like him when he is on the park but the Aussie is not there often enough. Rogic does nick important goals but any bids would have to be considered as his stock is quite high at the minute after playing at the Confederations Cup. VERDICT: SELL LEIGH GRIFFITHS Did not rock the boat when Moussa Dembele was turning on the style. Griffiths rarely moaned about being benched but rather just knuckled down and gave his all when he got his chance. He showed how valuable he can be with two fantastic goals for Scotland against England. VERDICT: KEEP SCOTT SINCLAIR Had a fantastic time last season and would be inclined to knock back a move away as he knows from experience the grass isn’t always greener. The Englishman has been outstanding and seems to have found a spiritual home. VERDICT: KEEP JAMES FORREST The winger had a strange time last season. He was keeping Patrick Roberts out of the side at first and seemed to have turned a corner only to then play second fiddle to the loan star. With Jonny Hayes coming in it may be time to move on. VERDICT: SELL
