Hibs fans’ chant tribute at friendly game

-

SCOTS football fans are planning a special tribute to Bradley Lowery this weekend.

Hibs supporters are being encouraged to chant, “There’s only one Bradley Lowery”, during the sixth minute of their side’s friendly game against Sunderland tomorrow.

Posting a message on a Facebook page dedicated to the young Black Cats fan, one Hibee invited rival supporters travelling to Easter Road to join in, adding: “Cancer has no colours.”

Many football clubs paid tribute to the brave lad yesterday.

Bradley was a mascot for Sunderland’s fixture against Everton last September, when the Merseyside club gave £200,000 to his charity.

Everton chairman Bill Kenwright last night described Bradley as “one of football’s all-time greats”, adding: “We are so privileged to have known him and will always be proud that he chose us as his second club.”

Chelsea, whose players invited Bradley into their dressing room when they visited the Stadium of Light last season, said: “He touched all of us with his bravery and winning smile.”

Millwall tweeted: “You had the heart of a lion, which means us lions will always have a place for you in ours.”

England and Newcastle legend Alan Shearer tweeted: “So sorry Bradley has passed away. An inspirational life cut short.”

Former Liverpool ace Robbie Fowler sent love and sympathy to the youngster’s family and said: “Everyone is aching from this news.”
