The weird world of Harper Beckham

The young daughter of Posh & Becks enjoys a life most can only dream of

CLUTCHING a red balloon while dressed as Elsa from Frozen, she looked like any girl playing princess on her sixth birthday.

But rather than make do with a makeshift castle, Harper Beckham was beaming before the real Queen’s residence, Buckingham Palace.

She and her friends were invited to tea by Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah. They even took selfies with a reallife princess, Eugenie.

While it seems an extravagant affair for a regular six-year-old, it’s another lavish outing in the life of Posh and Becks’ special little girl.

She has trained at the Royal English Ballet, designed clothes for her mum’s ranges and been flown in private jets to sit front row at fashion shows all over the world.

It’s no wonder her mum Victoria, 43, and dad David, 42, have trademarked her name, already setting her up for a money-spinning brand.

Her celebrity parents, who were on their way to stardom as a footballer and a popstar by their late teens and early 20s, have organised £102-per-hour lessons at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and training sessions at the English National Ballet.

Even learning to ride horses is being taken a step further with polo lessons – a long way from anything her parents would have enjoyed at that age.

For their princess, nothing is too much. A source said: “David and Victoria want to give Harper the best start in life to ensure she has every opportunity available.

“Harper is being given the top schooling and best access to extracurricular activities to enable her to grow up a very accomplished young lady. She could even be destined for a top finishing school in Europe.”

After all that work, it’s no wonder she requires frequent holidays, and can be found jetting off to exotic locations such as the Maldives with Gordon Ramsay’s brood and this year she enjoyed a jaunt to Africa for a safari.

She is also friends with seven-yearold Instagram and America’s Got Talent star Heavenly Joy.

Pampered by Victoria’s on-hand hairdresser, Ken Paves, Harper is also tended to by the family’s chefs and nannies – and she can rely on personal security guards to keep her safe.

After three brothers – Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, and Cruz, 12 – Harper was the darling daughter her mum and dad had always craved.

At four months, she was seen wearing £30 Chloe tights and wearing Hermes baby shoes.

The boys’ godparents include Liz Hurley and Elton John but Victoria chose her glamorous best friend Eva Longoria to be Harper’s godmother.

“She’s really spoiled,” said Desperate Housewives star Eva about the “adorable” newborn. “Victoria likes to buy her dresses – and so do I.”

Her name was rumoured to have been inspired by glossy fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar, but David later clarified that Harper Lee, the author of To Kill a Mockingbird, was the inspiration, as it is Victoria’s favourite book.

Her second name, Seven, seemed natural when she was born at 7.55am, in July, weighing 7lb. It was also her dad’s shirt number at Manchester United.

Within nine months, Harper had her first job offer, when baby gift company My 1st Years asked if she would become an ambassador for the brand.

They copied in her mum and dad, noting that “due to child labour laws we cannot negotiate a contract or salary directly with you”. A star had been born.

Soon, with dedicated blogs chronicling what Harper wore, reports would emerge that she was being
