GANGSTER HOUGH MARRIES HIS MOLL

- JOHN FERGUSON j.ferguson@dailyrecord.co.uk

A NOTORIOUS gangster has married his moll in a glitzy wedding at an exclusive hotel.

Drugs baron David Hough, 36, tied the knot with Hayley McGarry at Mar Hall, Renfrewshire, in a no-expensespared bash on Monday.

The ceremony took place in the hotel’s marquee before guests partied the night away drinking champagne.

Pictures on social media show tattooed bride Hayley preparing for the wedding in a silver bikini and Mar Hall robe with champagne and flowers.

Another shows her lavish dress being loaded into a car, while further snaps reveal the nail bar owner kissing her partner.

One shot shows her massive diamond wedding ring as she leaves the hotel, with the caption: “I didn’t dream it.”

There is also an image of Hayley and her pals in a Mar Hall bedroom with bags full of Jo Malone products.

The wedding is understood to have been attended by former Miss Scotland Nicola Mimnagh.

Mar Hall is a favourite haunt of the rich and famous.

Stars including Robbie Williams and Ed Sheeran stayed at the hotel and the Scotland football team use it as their base during training camps.

In 2005, Hough was caught with £146,000 of cocaine by police after a high-speed chase and jailed for four-and-ahalf years.

He once threatened to shoot ex-Celtic defender Darren O’Dea after accusing him of chatting up his girlfriend in a Glasgow nightclub.

The muscle-bound Rangers fan was linked to former WAG Lauren MacDonald, who was spotted in a Chinese restaurant with Hough while dating Ibrox midfielder Maurice Edu.

In 2015, he was spared jail after headbutting a door steward during a nightclub flare-up.

The gangster wed this week among underworld pals amid the backdrop of a bloody feud that has seen scores of sickening knife and gun attacks on Scotland’s streets.

The thug is a known ally of feared gangland

killer Robert “Birdman” O’Hara and was close friends with murdered Daniel crime clan enforcer Kevin “Gerbil” Carroll. O’Hara was jailed for life in 2005 for ordering the murder of a rival’s relative, while Gerbil was gunned down by Lyons clan hitmen in 2010. A bitter gangland turf war has been raging between the Lyons and Daniel families for years. The war was blown open last year after gang leader Jamie Daniel died of cancer – creating a power vacuum. In March, drug dealer Robert Daniel was shot on the arm outside his home in Stepps, near Glasgow. Daniel associate James Gorman had his face slashed in Possilpark while walking a dog. Suspected drug dealer Euan Johnston, a 26-yearold father of two, was shot dead in the city centre last November as he sat in a black Audi RS4.

Billy “Buff” Paterson was convicted in 2015 of the Carroll murder.

Another of Carroll’s pals, Ross Sherlock, has had six attempts made on his life since he got involved in the turf war.

And Jamie Daniel’s son Francis “Fraggle” Green was targeted in the feud this February when shots were fired at his home in Milton of Campsie.

In May, kingpin Steven “Bonzo” Daniel, 37, was targeted by three knifemen who left him with injuries so serious it was thought he had been shot.

He suffered gashes to his nose, mouth and an eye when rivals trapped his car on a sliproad near the M8.

Mar Hall declined to comment on Monday’s wedding.

Police said they didn’t monitor the event.
