MAC MINE A DOUBLE

- GARRY OWEN racing@dailyrecord.co.uk

FARLEIGH MAC (3.10) can continue Andrew Balding’s excellent run on a competitive card at Bath.

The gelding was just denied by Bahamian Dollar at Chepstow last time and is well in at the weights thanks to Joshua Bryan’s 5lb claim.

The Kingsclere handler can also land the novice event with GOLDEN SALUTE (2.10).

The juvenile showed a nice turn of foot when landing her maiden at Windsor and should still be on the upgrade. Milton Bradley’s BURAUQ (2.40) is the call in a trappy sprint handicap.

The five-year-old has a respectable record at this venue and should be able to build on his game recent course and distance success.

PACHARANA (3.40) can strike for Luca Cumani in the feature fillies’ contest.

The four-year-old is admirably consistent and can shrug off a 3lb penalty for her gritty recent win at Brighton.

INNOKO (4.10) will take all the beating in the staying handicap.

The grey scored with plenty in hand on his first start for Robert Stephens at this track last time and can shrug off a 4lb hike in his current mood.

PURSUING STEED (7.20) has been a model of consistency this season for Hughie Morrison and can complete a four-timer at Leicester tonight.

Eric Alston’s CHICKEN- FORTEA (8.50) put in a career best when scoring at Catterick two weeks ago and won’t mind a bit of cut in the ground.

■ Heartache suffered a pulled muscle during her odds-on defeat in last Sunday’s Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte.

Clive Cox’s filly lost her unbeaten record in the Group 2 but the trainer is confident she can bounce back to her best when fully recovered.

■ Paul Nicholls has warned that Alcala is not a certain runner in next week’s Galway Plate. The gelding is upwardly mobile over fences and entered the reckoning for the 2m6f contest when landing the Summer Plate at Market Rasen last Saturday.

However, the Ditcheat handler believes the race may come too soon for the seven-year-old who is likely to stay novice chasing.

But Nicholls confirmed the classy Zubayr would take his chance in the Galway Hurdle after a couple of decent runs on the All-weather.
