Teacher had sex with pupil on school trip to Large Hadron Collider (that’s H-a-d-r-o-n)
A TEACHER joined the mile-high club with a pupil on a school trip to see the Large Hadron Collider. Eleanor Wilson, 28, was banned from teaching after it emerged that she had sex with the teenage boy on a flight home from Geneva in Switzerland. At a professional conduct panel earlier this month, she was found guilty of unacceptable conduct and bringing the profession into disrepute. The panel heard Wilson was “intoxicated” and started flirting with the teenager at the back of the plane while caring for a poorly pupil. The boy, who had drunk five mini bottles of wine, joined her in the toilets for sex. Wilson continued the relationship, texting and meeting up for drinks despite rumours at school. But the affair came to light seven months later when a pupil tried to blackmail Wilson into sex.
Police and the school found out and Wilson, from Gloucestershire, was dismissed on May 2016.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesman said: “A 28-year-old woman has voluntarily attended at a police station and enquiries are ongoing.”
A spokesman for the school said: “Ms Wilson’s conduct represents a shocking abuse of her position of trust as a teacher.
“She was suspended and we conducted a thorough investigation that resulted in her dismissal. We then referred the case to the National College, who prohibited her from teaching permanently.”
An NSPCC spokesman said: “As a teacher, Wilson was trusted to prioritise pupils’ welfare and wellbeing but instead she abused this trust for her own sexual gratification.”
But Wilson’s brother Jethro insisted she had done nothing wrong, adding: “She had a boyfriend she was happy with.
“She has no reason to blow her career like that.”
