I MET Amazon this week to see all their brilliant new ranges for autumn/winter.

I’ve never thought about buying beauty from the site before but they’ve got a huge selection of make-up, beauty gadgets and haircare, all ready to be delivered next day. Some can even be on your doorstep within the hour!

Run out of mascara before a big night out? GHD straighteners conked out while your hair is a frizzy mess?

Don’t fret, just a couple of clicks and Amazon will come to your rescue in a matter of minutes. I’ve been completely wowed by their service and the Amazon delivery guy is my new BFF.

I also got my hands on one of their Echo Dot gadgets this week, and it’s pretty awesome, too. It’s a tiny voice-activated wifi device that you can put anywhere in the house.

I’ve put mine on my bedside table, so when I wake up in the dark I can say, “What’s the time?”, and it tells me.

You can ask it to play music that you like, to tell you a joke or what the weather forecast is. And if you run out of household stuff – tea bags, for example – you just say, “Re-order tea bags”, and it magically orders your favourite brand for you.

I love a gadget, and this one has to be one of my all-time favourites.

I know what all my friends and family will be getting for Christmas this year.
