We’ll stay calm and then we can win

KARE INGEBRIGTSEN is convinced Rosenborg’s missed chances in Glasgow won’t come back to haunt them.

The Trondheim boss watched his side let Celtic off the hook at Parkhead after passing up a couple of glorious late opportunities.

Brendan Rodgers is looking to make the Norwegians pay at the Lerkendal Stadion this evening but Ingebrigtsen is confident his men can complete the job.

He said: “We had chances in Glasgow but cannot go around disappointed with the amazing fight we put up.

“To go through, you normally have to win one of the two matches and that’s what we look to do. The pressure left us in Glasgow. I don’t feel it anymore.

“There is a good mood in the team and we have a lot of confidence.

“It’s a good starting point. After the experience in

‘If Celtic don’t want Allan, I’d take him at Rangers in a heartbeat. I’m sure fans would forgive him if he turned on the style he possesses’

fans couldn’t care less about him. There isn’t a bigger example of wasted talent brought on by a massive ego than him.

“Allan should be approaching his peak at Celtic but is on loan at Dundee for a reason. He should be booing himself for wasting a glorious opportunity.”

Celtic may be walking a Champions League tightrope in Norway tonight against Rosenborg but one fan has no fears at all for the Hoops’ safe passage to the play-off round.

said: ‘If this was Ronny Deila’s team then Celtic would be as a good as out. The Hoops are an entirely different proposition and we will go to Norway and win. Rodgers is a quality manager and he will see us through this difficult tie.”

While couldn’t resist a dig at Rangers.

He said: “All is well in Scottish football now as Rangers progress is being charted by their undefeated run in three meaningless pre-season bounce games.

“Whilst the humiliation in Luxembourg – the only meaningful game that they have played – has been totally disregarded.

“Is it true that Rangers have asked for the points for these friendly matches to give them a head start in the league?”

Finally the sacking of Hearts boss Ian Cathro was surprisingly met with just two responses.

said: “One caller said that if Hearts didn’t get rid of Cathro then the Jambos would be relegated. I hope he is happy now as he has got his wish.”

emailed: “Come on, this is not just Cathro’s fault. This has director of football Craig Levein’s arrogance all over it. He is the one that needs to be replaced.

“It is a joke that Levein is anywhere near a club that Jambos fans saved. He is the man that’s controlling everything at the club and he must go now.” CALL THE HOTLINE TODAY FROM 11 TILL 12 NOON on: 0141 309 3306 or email us: hotline@dailyrecord.co.uk
