A SCOT married to Donald Trump’s treasury secretary took time out of their honeymoon to the capital to describe the shambolic White House as “dynamic”.

Louise Linton, 36, married former hedge fund manager and film producer Steve Mnuchin, 54, in June.

Asked about the rash of resignations among Trump’s top aides, Louise said: “Well, it’s certainly been dynamic.”

Her comments come after the rapidfire departures of press secretary Sean Spicer, chief of staff Reince Priebus and communications director Anthony Scaramucci.

Linton, who attended private Fettes College in Edinburgh where Tony Blair was a former pupil, revealed she and her new husband were jetting into the capital this weekend for a belated honeymoon.

She said Mnuchin – whose wealth is estimated to be about £230million – “likes Scotland very much”.

Linton added: “We’re going to do Holyrood Palace and walk up the Royal Mile to the castle.

“Steve likes it because DC feels so much like Edinburgh, with its Georgian neoclassical architecture.” The couple will then head on for stays in Paris and Milan. Now among Washington’s power elite, Linton described the experience as “surreal”, adding: “I do have to pinch myself from time to time.”

The actress faced humiliation last summer after a self-published book about her gap year in Africa sparked controversy.

Critics panned it as an inaccurate “jungle narrative” while the Zambian High Commission in London accused her of tarnishing “a very friendly and peaceful country”. She later pulped the book and made

a grovelling apology.
