MAKE OR BREAK?

C5, 10pm ALL praise to the TV scheduling gods – no sooner has Love Island skipped off into the sunset, leaving us bereft of addictive reality trash, than another show arrives to fill the void.

We’re not sure why we were obsessed with Love Island, which saw glossy couples obsess over their relationships and abs for a few weeks. But it was a guilty pleasure.

And now here is C5’s version, which sees eight couples arrive in a Mexican paradise to see if their relationships work.

“Be prepared at all times for highly offensive language, real heartbreak, vicious meltdowns, tears, bikinis, sex talk and six packs,” warns a voiceover.

This really is exactly what we need in our lives.

Through partner swaps and trials, experts help the couples decide if their relationship is make or break. Although, who needs an expert? If you’re on a dating-swap show, you probably shouldn’t be planning a wedding.

“We’ll come out stronger,” says Butler in the Buff Karl, although he’s already rolling his eyes.

“I’ve never once got bored of her,” he adds, talking of girlfriend Holly. What a ringing endorsement.

There’s Che and Nikita – Che is perfectly OK with Nikita being a stripper. No, really, he’s fine with it.

Andy and Elle broke up three times last week because he’s a prolific cheater.

And Abbi has previously broken up with Stephen after finding a photo of him in bed with two women in Vegas.

They tell us of these dating war wounds with such pride, and it’s worrying.

Once in Mexico, the couples are split up and must choose someone else to share a hut with. “It’s like a nightmare,” screams one.

While Rich smirks: “We’ve just walked into a human game of Twister.”

Bring on the drama.
