KOMODO DRAGON’S DEN

- GARRY OWEN racing@dailyrecord.co.uk

UPWARDLY mobile KOMODO (3.15) can roar for Jedd O’Keeffe in the Twitter Handicap at Ripon.

The progressive gelding has landed two of his last three starts and can shrug off a 4lb hike for his game recent win at Ayr.

Tim Easterby’s BOSSIPOP (3.45) can call the shots in the Armstrong Memorial Handicap.

The four-year-old has a decent record at this venue and can follow up his decisive Pontefract success despite a 6lb penalty. ROYAL RESERVE (4.15) looks a cut above in the Visit Ripon Handicap.

The gelding has been in fair form on the all-weather since joining David O’Meara and can take advantage of his 7lb lower Turf mark in a trappy contest.

MONTEAMIATA (3.00) can strike for trainer Ed Walker in the Peter Symonds Handicap at Salisbury.

The filly put in a career best when scoring cosily at Lingfield last time and won’t mind the likely soft conditions.

John Spearing’s CAPTAIN SEDGWICK (4.30) opened her account in taking style at Ffos Las and remains well-treated off a 6lb higher mark.

Progressive SO SLEEK (5.00) will take all the beating in the Bathwick Tyres Stakes.

Luca Cumani’s filly landed her maiden in impressive style at Lingfield and can do plenty of damage in handicaps for her shrewd handler. QUAY POINT (5.30) can come home under a wet sail for in-form Laura Mongan.

The four-year-old scored with plenty in hand on her handicap debut at Nottingham and is still unexposed as a stayer.

So Mi Dar is in good shape after her comeback in last week’s Nassau Stakes.

The filly was a respectable fifth in the Goodwood contest and trainer John Gosden expects her to come on plenty for her belated comeback. The mare will stay at Group 1 level for her next run which could be in the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville or the International or Yorkshire Oaks at York.

The improving Culturati will be aimed at next month’s Ayr Gold Cup by trainer Charlie Appleby.

Godolphin’s sprinter has not run since landing a strong Newmarket handicap in June but will head to Scotland’s biggest Flat race if fully fit.
