YAYA TOURE has warned the Premier League: Watch out Pep’s got us playing like Barcelona.
Toure, who won the Champions League and La Liga twice in three years under Guardiola at the Nou Camp, reckons the Catalan has finally got his message across at the Etihad.
City failed to win a trophy last season – the first time Guardiola has finished empty-handed in his gloried managerial career.
But Toure insists City will put that right this season by winning in a style their manager demands.
He said: “The mentality of the manager is playing good and winning – not just winning.
“We want the fans to enjoy it and we will try to do our best.
“At Barcelona I was used to playing like that. I’m a type of player with a lot of experience.
“I am lucky because I used to play under Pep at Barcelona and I know what he wants.
“I think when the other players got their tactics off the manager it was a little bit difficult for them.
“But now the core of the team are used to it and the incoming players need to adapt quick because this year is going to be tough.
