VICTORY ENABLED

- GARRY OWEN racing@dailyrecord.co.uk

ENABLE will bid for her fourth Group 1 success of the season in the Yorkshire Oaks on August 24.

John Gosden’s filly is thriving after last month’s devastating King George success at Ascot and is on course for the 1m4f contest on the Knavesmire.

Owner Khalid Abdullah could also run the Sir Michael Stoutetrained Mori who put in a career best when second in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot.

Abdullah’s racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said: “Enable is fine. She has not done much since Ascot but has come out of the race very well.

“I would hope she will now go to the Yorkshire Oaks.”

Grimthorpe also said Expert Eye could move up to Group 1 level in next month’s National Stakes at the Curragh after bolting up in the Vintage at Goodwood.

Coneygree will kick off his new campaign in next month’s Kerry National at Listowel. Trainer Mark Bradstock confirmed the 2015 Gold Cup hero would warm up for the Hennessy in the three-mile showpiece as long as he is fully fit.

Make a killing on MORDOREE (4.30) in the CB Protection Handicap at Bath.

Clive Cox’s filly put in a career best when landing a strong Nottingham handicap last time and won’t mind the soft conditions.

Godolphin’s DOWAYLA (3.30) will take all the beating in the Kelton Cup.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained filly scored in taking style over course and distance last time and can build on that fine effort under 5lb claimer David Egan.

FANFAIR (4.00) can earn the plaudits in the David Leighs Fillies’ Handicap.

Richard Hannon’s threeyear-old has been on a roll recently and can shrug off a 6lb penalty for her game Lingfield success.

LORD CLENAGHCASTLE (3.20) can strike for Gary Moore in the Brighton Mile.

The three-year-old landed a decent event at Epsom in eye-catching fashion and looks the type to go on improving for his shrewd handler.

Hibou could go for the Cambridgeshire after his agonizing defeat at Galway.

Iain Jardine’s gelding was just denied by Riven Light in last week’s BMW Handicap and the Dumfries trainer is targeting another big prize at Newmarket on September 30.
