The Hibs gaffer has warned Gers his men won’t be running scared today and he’s determined to be the boss who ends up smiling.

Lennon said: “We’re going there with optimism. We have a great chance.

“We’re not just going to make up the numbers.

“We want Hibs to be a force, not just this season but in years to come. This won’t be a barometer for the season because it’s only the second league game of the campaign.

“It’s a difficult fixture and venue to visit at any time.

“But we’re playing well and have nothing to fear.”

Lennon confessed he has missed going to Ibrox despite his previous troubles there.

He said: “Who wouldn’t? You miss the drama and the intensity and the theatre of it. That’s what it really is, it is theatre.

“It’s sport, it is entertainm­ent, and there is a darker side to it sometimes. But hopefully that can be kept to within the confines of the game.

“I enjoy it. Yes, there can be some venomous things said but there can also be a lot of humour there as well. You can’t take yourself too seriously there.

“When you win there it is a great feeling. So I want my players to go and enjoy that experience as well. There are so many funny things. You hear some quips from the crowd. You try to put on a straight face but sometimes you can’t help but snap.
