YES YOU CAN BE WINNER

- GARRY OWEN racing@dailyrecord.co.uk

MAKE a positive start to the week with Iain Jardine’s YES YOU (2.15) in the William Hill Handicap at Ayr.

The filly has been upwardly mobile since joining the Dumfries handler with good wins at Hamilton and Redcar and can complete a hat-trick under useful 7lb claimer Jamie Gormley.

FROLIC (1.45) can land the trappy EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes for Sir Mark Prescott.

The Dutch Art filly oozed potential when third on her debut at Newmarket and looks a sure-fire improver for her handler.

David O’Meara’s BREANSKI (3.15) is well worth a punt in the This Is More Handicap.

The gelding ran a blinder to take second in a cracking York contest last time and can go one better dropped in class.

John Quinn’s string are hitting form and the Yorkshire handler can claim the sprint with BENJAMIN THOMAS (3.45). The three-year-old was a fine second over seven furlongs at Epsom two weeks ago and can regain the winning thread back over six.

Uplawmoor handler Jim Goldie can enjoy yet another winner at the Craigie venue with STAR CRACKER (4.15).

The five-year-old has a decent record at Ayr and shaped like his turn was near when an eyecatching third over course and distance last time.

WEEKEND OFFENDER (4.45) can continue Kevin Ryan’s revival in the feature Scottish Sport Handicap.

The four-year-old was unlucky to run into the useful Euro Nightmare over course and distance two weeks ago and will take all the beating despite his big weight.

Michael Smith’s consistent HAYMARKET (5.15) is the safest option in the closing 1m2f handicap.

The eight-year-old was denied a hat-trick when third here on Saturday night but can regain the winning thread in a weak-looking contest. Roger Varian does well with his raiders at Ripon and the handler can enjoy another winner at the Yorkshire venue with WEST DRIVE (3.00).

The gelding relished the step up to 1m2f when scoring at Sandown last time and can follow up despite a 3lb penalty.

The Newmarket handler can double-up with EAGLE CREEK (3.30) who looked very useful when landing his maiden at Lingfield in May.
