£33m Lotto cheat gran dies of heart attack at 49

JACKPOT CHANCER PASSES AWAY Washing machine scam woman is found dead by son

- JOSH PAYNE

A FAKE lottery winner who tried to claim a £33million prize after saying she put the ticket through her washing machine has died from a heart attack.

Susanne Hinte, 49, made a failed bid for the mega payout in January last year, saying she had washed a pair of jeans with the winning ticket in the pocket.

Camelot didn’t accept her story and the real winner eventually came forward.

It emerged yesterday that the Germanborn gran-of-four died on Monday at her home in Worcester after being found by her son Brandon, 18.

Hinte is believed to have suffered a heart condition for several years.

Her agent Barry Tomes said: “She had a lot of enemies but she was a very talented woman and this is very sad news and my thoughts are with her family.

“Whatever she’s been involved with in the past, nobody deserves to go like that at such a young age.”

One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said: “It’s desperately sad. There was a lot of activity here last night and we knew it wasn’t looking good.

“She had a lot of critics but we always found her to be a good neighbour. She was quite a character.”

Last July, Hinte was cleared of stealing a purse from an elderly woman’s home.

And in April last year, a charge of stealing an Xbox controller from a man she met online was thrown out.

In January, Hinte’s former friend Julie Howard was given a suspended six-week jail term for a revenge porn offence after sharing raunchy snaps of her topless.

She said she did it to get back at Hinte for hiding her hair curlers in a tumble dryer.
