Henry is planning payback for Celts

- CRAIG SWAN

NIGERIAN striker Henry Onyekeru has vowed haunt Celtic when he lines up against them in Group B.

The Anderlecht hitman was thrilled to land a tie against the Parkhead side just months after he was the subject of interest from boss Brendan Rodgers.

Celtic had a look at the 20-yearold before he left Eupen to join the Belgian champions – and now he has the opportunity to show the Hoops fans exactly what he can do.

Onyekeru said: “Last season Celtic were interested in me so it’s really fun to play against them now.

“During the previous winter with Eupen I played against Bayern Munich. However, this is a dream come true.

“They laughed with me when I said last season that I would play Champions League but now look. I’m counting the days until it starts.”

Anderlecht general manager Herman Van Holsbeeck reckons his supporters will be more pleased with the draw than his own team.

He reckons Bayern Munich and Paris St Germain are already destined for the top spots and the last 16, leaving his club and Celtic to fight for the Europa League place.

Van Holsbeeck said: “It’s a top draw for the fans. Sporting-wise it will be difficult.

“We will easily sell the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium three times but it’s a heavy task on the pitch.

“Celtic is the closest with us on paper to beat but Bayern and PSG are heading out of the group.”
