A BIGOTED neighbour from hell has been convicted of shouting sectarian abuse inside his own home.

Thomas Wright, 46, behaved in a threatening and abusive manner and yelled sectarian remarks.

Sickened neighbours Kaitlyn Fletcher and her partner Amy McLellan believe the slurs were aimed at them and they say they have been subjected to an 18-month campaign of abuse and anti-social behaviour by Wright.

They called in police after a bigoted earlymorning rant by Wright, who lives above them in a block of flats in Nitshill, Glasgow.

Wright was charged but denied the claims, forcing the couple to give evidence in court.

The moron was convicted after a trial at Glasgow Sheriff Court and could now face jail when he is sentenced later this month.

Kaitlyn, 19, said: “He is the ultimate neighbour from hell. He has made our lives miserable. The noise is constant and he doesn’t care.

“He gets drunk and has his TV really loud. One day his voice began booming through our ceiling. He was singing bigoted songs. We tried to ignore it and hoped it was a one-off.

“But days later, it started again. He started shouting ‘dirty Fenian b ****** s’ and we knew he meant us.”

Amy, 26, who suffers from bipolar disorder, added: “The noise from his flat was ridiculous and it went on all night.

“He would bang and slam around. His girlfriend and him would have massive arguments and scream and shout at each other.

“He would often get drunk and shout and swear.

“I was always on edge I couldn’t sleep. My mental health deteriorated.”

When Kaitlyn moved in last October, Wright’s abuse escalated. Kaitlyn said: “He would call us names and every other derogatory term you can call a lesbian.

“It was horrible. We can’t even go out into the garden any more because of him.”

The pair complained to their landlords Glasgow Housing Association.

A GHA spokeswoman said: “Our neighbourhood relations team worked closely with the police to resolve what was clearly a very difficult situation.

“We are doing all we can to help Kaitlyn, Amy and their family make a fresh start, including increased priority to find a new home.”

When asked to comment, Wright said: “What they have said is all lies.”
