From Back Page times in 27 home clashes across nine group stage campaigns. But Uruguay ace Cavani said: “Celtic are known for their atmosphere.

“That is good for them they have such a famous stadium that makes so much noise in Europe but it will not worry us.

“We are not going as fans to experience the atmosphere – we are going to win the game.

“Winning the first game is always so important, especially if you have aspirations of winning the group which we have.”

Cavani, 30, has already blasted seven goals in five games this season – including a double in the 5-1 mauling of Metz on Friday – and is part of PSG’s terrifying three-pronged frontline along with new recruits Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

He said: “If the coach chooses to play the three of us then of course that will be very exciting. Neymar is one of the best in the world and Mbappe has shown he will be one of the best.

“We can cause any defence at any stadium problems and now we are at the level where winning the Champions League has to be the ambition.”

But Mbappe has warned his PSG pals to be wary of Moussa Dembele. The Hoops hitman is fighting to be fit tomorrow to face his former club. And Mbappe – set to cost PSG £168m following his move from Monaco – starred with Dembele in the French youth set-up and said: “I know Dembele is a great goalscorer. He has that natural instinct in front of goal.

“He he been recovering from injury but I am sure Celtic want him to play in the opening Champions League game because he is a big threat.”
