STARS DRUM UP TRADE FOR 9/11 CHARITY TRIBUTE

-

STARS of film, TV, sport and music hit the phones yesterday to buy and sell for charity in memory of 9/11 victims.

Celebrities including Davina McCall, Fearne Cotton, Sir Alex Ferguson and Damien Lewis helped to raise millions by trading at brokers BGC Partners in London on the 16th anniversary of the US terror attacks.

The firm and Cantor Fitzgerald donate the day’s proceeds to dozens of charities to honour hundreds of colleagues and friends who died.

A BGC spokesman said: “Charity Day is our way of turning a tragic day into one that is positive and uplifting by helping others.”
