Supertout stubbed out

Fraudster’s tickets axed after Gallagher gig fury

THE Scottish tickets of one of the UK’s worst supertouts have been cancelled after a fans’ backlash and pressure from the Daily Record. at vastly inflated prices on sites such as Get Me In! And Seatwave.

Now Ticketmaster appear to have taken action, with tickets listed under Mayiger’s Alpha Group Services label on Get Me In! disappearing over the weekend.

The action by Ticketmaster stopped short of banning Mayiger as he continued to sell briefs for gigs at the SSE Hydro by giants like Kasabian and Deep Purple.

Other supertouts were also still exploiting fans at other Gallagher gigs, despite the star’s vow to force Ticketmaster to crack down.

Gallagher fan Jordan Rowan, 25, was among those to be frustrated by the touts descending on shows.

He said: “On the Friday I tried to get tickets in the pre-sale and they were gone in 30 seconds.” He added that Ticketmaster axeing some supertout briefs and allowing others to remain on sale isn’t good enough, saying: “They’re keeping things right with their tout contacts by not giving a blanket ban.”

The Record asked Ticketmaster yesterday to confirm they had cancelled the Michael Mayiger tickets which were removed from secondary site Get Me In but received no response.
