Reward bid to nail raider

THE family of an OAP who lost £100,000 in cash and jewellery in a break-in have offered a reward in a bid to catch the thief.

Items taken in the raid on the 75-year-old’s home in Dumfries at 11.30am on Friday included watches and cash in US dollars.

Police said the reward is “substantial”.
