Gunman is shot dead after killing 7
SEVEN people were killed when a gunman opened fire at a party in Texas.
The murderer was shot dead by a police officer who arrived to investigate a “domestic dispute” at the house north of Dallas.
One witness said she heard between 30 and 40 shots fired.
Partygoers had been watching an American football game on Sunday night when the violence started.
When the first police officer arrived on the scene, he saw bodies on the ground and the suspect fired at him.
The officer was unhurt and shot and fatally wounded the gunman.
Seven bodies were found inside the house in Plano. Two other victims were taken to hospital. Their conditions were not known.
Police spokesman David Tilley said: “The first responding officer heard gunshots inside the residence. We’re trying to put all the pieces together.
“I’ve been here all my life. I’ve never heard of anything like this.”
