Ban the touts

THE Record’s campaign against ticket touts is clearly touching a nerve.

In a victory for fans, Ticketmaster cancelled one supertout’s tickets for the Scottish leg of Liam Gallagher’s latest live show.

Michael Mayiger was trying to cash in through secondary sites, leeching off real music fans who are being forced to pay over the odds.

It’s a start. Now the big sites need to ramp up the action.

Ban people like Mayiger, don’t just give them a slap on the wrist.
