- MICHAEL GANNON ANSWERS YOUR CALLS

ON the eve of Celtic playing their most glamorous game of the season it’s incredible to think the majority are focusing more on titles lost in the past.

Inevitably, we’ll get to the EBT debate but for now, folks, there’s the small matter of PSG visiting on Champions League duty tonight.

Although for some Hoops fans it’s a mixture of excitement tinged with trepidation at what the French multi-millionaire talent might do to them.

Joe Wilson, Spean Bridge, said: “I hope I am wrong but I can see Craig Gordon looking like the Hunchback of Notre Dame after picking the ball out of the back of his net so many times against PSG.”

Chris Currie emailed: “There is no doubting Neymar’s ability as a footballer so it’s hard to understand why he needs the theatricals as well.

“He is a joy to watch while at the same time a total embarrassment with his feigning injury at every point of contact. Celtic need a strong referee but we all know, these superstars are untouchables when it comes to administering fair play on the park.”

William Hutchison, Aberdeen, said: “No one is giving us a chance against PSG but you never know, the negativity might spur us on. If we do get beaten I just hope it isn’t a mauling so I’ll settle for a draw.”

Stephen Johnstone, Ardentinny, said: “By half-time Celtic will be screaming nae mair, Neymar.

“They’ll lose by double figures, this will be the biggest hiding they’ve had in their lives.”

Alan Lough, Dunbar, said: “Celtic have proved before that anything can happen at Parkhead on a Champions League night.” Michael Sheerin, Liverpool, said: “I’m concerned about Craig Gordon. He was at fault for Hamilton’s goal on Friday night and I fear he is the weak link that will be slaughtered by PSG.”

Others reckon Scott Brown’s temper exposes Celtic as callers clamoured for the captain to be

retrospectively punished for appearing to swing a boot at Hamilton’s Giannis Skondras on Friday.

William Reid, Edinburgh, said: “If Brown doesn’t get a two-match ban it will be final proof that the game in Scotland is corrupt.” It’s not corrupt, William, but Brown is off Scott free.

Peter Barbour, Whiteinch, said: “I don’t know if Brown made contact but to even swing a boot like that is out of order.” Kilmarnock are murder according to angry fan

James Murray, Cumnock, who said: “Killie had five over-30s playing on Saturday with a possible three others not fit, including the misfiring Kris Boyd. You won’t win many games with a bunch of has-beens with little pace.” Ok, EBT time. Here goes ...

Liam Maley emailed: “Rangers fans don’t do irony. “Club 1872 pathetically petitioned for police enquiries and sanctions into a football manager (Neil Lennon) cupping his ears at them after being abused for 90 minutes at Ibrox, yet are in total meltdown as Celtic rightly lead calls for an independent investigation into the EBT cheating scandal. They now know this is not going away.”

John Bruce emailed: “Peter Lawwell said Scottish football needs closure. How right he is. Continually opening old wounds won’t let them heal.”

Bryan Barrett emailed: “As a Jag watching the big two bickering over this EBT stuff can I just ask for it to be confirmed both used the scheme to dodge tax. Juninho got one from Celtic so surely the green half are not saying, ‘We only cheated once’. That would be like saying I’m only a wee bit pregnant.” No action was taken over Juninho’s EBT as he was paid after he left the club not while playing for Celtic. William Dougan, Arbroath, said: “Having spent 24 years working in the financial world I am amazed at the number of football fans who have become financial experts via Rangers and EBTs. One thing they forget is up until 2011 EBTs were perfectly legal.”
