OLIVIER NTCHAM isn’t a fan of new wave bands from the 80s after all.

The Celtic ace might have a Haircut 100 but it’s nothing to do with the pop group.

He is looking to make it a Fantastic Day though.

Ntcham came back from the internatio­nal break with a wacky new buzzcut but his explanatio­n needed to go through a translator.

Not from French to English – more from young person speak in a language old folk, like Haircut 100 fans, might understand.

Ntcham had 100 carved in to the back of his napper along with a couple of zigzags like his pal Paul Pogba but insisted it was a social media thing rather than a message for PSG tonight.

The former Manchester City man likes to look the part but he’d rather make his statements on the pitch against a side most believe are a cut above.

It might be a hair-raising prospect taking on Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Edinson Cavani but Ntcham is convinced he can come out smiling.

The 21-year-old had to explain the barnet first though and said: “The 100 sign on my hair is an emoji from Snapchat.”

Hold up. Translatio­n time. Apparently it’s like one of those wee faces some people put on the end of text messages.

Anyway, Ntcham added: “It’s one that I use all the time. It’s my favourite and it doesn’t mean anything in particular. I like a lot of them but 100 and the thumbs up are the two best ones.

“There isn’t really an emoji to symbolise the game against PSG.

“But if we win then I will be happy and use two thumbs up and a lot of smiley faces.

“It’s nothing to do with the PSG game. In life I just like to be a little bit fresh with my look.”

Ntcham has certainly looked the part for Celtic. The Hoops survived a close shave in Astana but it could get even more hairy against PSG this evening.
