Four QCs, three lawlords, all the club execs and the independent panel members.. are they all part of a conspiracy?
STEWART REGAN stood strong at Hampden yesterday as he defended the SFA’s decision not to grant Celtic an independent review into the financial collapse of Rangers. Regan dismissed the conspiracy theory and insists law lords and QCs have been integral to the decisionmaking process. In a wide-ranging Q&A session he told Record Sport’s GARY RALSTON the SFA have acted entirely independently every step of the way. He insists a line must now be drawn in the sand for Scottish football to move forward and insists there’s no appetite for a review from any other club. But he admitted the debate will continue for years – and knows he will never satisfy all fans who claim the SFA’s failure to act amounts to a cover-up.
