Cash crisis for colleges

THE financial position of Scotland’s colleges is “unsustainable”, an industry body have warned.

In a written submission to a Holyrood committee ahead of an evidence session tomorrow, Colleges Scotland chief executive Shona Struthers said: “We appreciate the Scottish Government’s additional revenue funding made available for 2017/18 of £21million, but the overall financial position the sector faces is unsustainable.”
