TRIBUTES have been paid to a young woman who died suddenly at her home.

Police launched an investigation after the body of 20-year-old Aimee Heenan was discovered in Dundee’s Hilltown Court on Monday afternoon.

Emergency services rushed to the scene but nothing could be done to save Aimee’s life.

Officers were stationed at the entrance to the multistorey block yesterday while police also searched areas near the communal bins.

Last night, friends and relatives – including her sister Meghan Steven – paid emotional tributes to the former St John’s RC High School pupil.

Meghan posted a picture of Aimee and her baby daughter Keyara, with the caption: “Auntie Aimee holding Keyara for first time.”

Alongside it she wrote: “Fly high, babe, love you. One of my best friends and always will be.”

A police spokeswoman said Aimee’s death was being treated as “unexplained”.

She confirmed a report on the incident will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
