TWO fitness fanatics are planning to run 200 miles in a week as part of a Ryder Cup-inspired challenge.

University of Edinburgh sports consultant Dr Andrew Murray and Ryder Cup Europe’s Paul Dunstan hope to raise £5000 for Golf In Society, a charity who enable people with dementia to continue playing the game.

Setting off on Saturday, they will make their way from Wentworth Golf Club in Surrey to 2018 host venue Le Golf National near Paris, running more than a marathon each day and taking on golf challenges.

Paul said: “I enjoy running as well as golf but ask me at the end of the seven days how I feel about them.”

Endurance expert Andrew added: “We want to highlight that exercise in the great outdoors is the best thing you can do for your health.”
