Grand launch for Apple’s iPhone X

APPLE last night announced their most expensive phone yet – the special edition iPhone X costing £999.

On sale on November 3, the X will have an edge-toedge display and no home button on its face.

Apple boss Tim Cook hailed it as the “future of the iPhone”. It will also have facial recognitio­n technology called Face ID.

The firm also revealed their new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus – priced from £699 and £799 in the UK – at the launch event in California.

Pre-orders for those will begin on September 15 and they will go on sale in the UK on September 22.

All three new phones will feature wireless charging.

Bosses also showcased a new mobile signal enabled Apple Watch and a 4K resolution Apple TV device.
