SCOTS TRIO ON CUE
ALAN McMANUS overcame a potential banana skin at the Indian Open.
The Scottish veteran eased to a 4-0 victory against amateur Malkeet Singh in his qualifier.
McManus, who faces Englishman Elliot Slessor in the first round, said: “It’s nice to get a good win under your belt early.
“You can never be too sure when you play the local guys because they are good enough to cause upsets. I am pleased to get through.”
Fellow Scot Anthony McGill beat Indian Aditya Mehta 4-0 in his qualifier while Graeme Dott breezed into round two with a 4-1 win over Jack Lisowski.
