Rebel may Phil in for sick Salah

-

PHILIPPE COUTINHO could make his Liverpool return against Sevilla as Mo Salah struggles with a virus.

Brazilian playmaker Coutinho is back in the squad for the first time since his failed attempt to force a move to Barcelona.

And he could be pitched straight into the team with Egyptian winger Salah battling a bug.

Salah was sent home from training yesterday after boss Jurgen Klopp ordered him not to breathe in a team meeting.

The German said: “Mo told me ‘I can train’ and the doc told me, ‘He can train.’

“But I asked what was best and she told me not to let him train. So he went home, no problem.

“He was in the meeting but wasn’t allowed to breathe. The plan is he comes in tomorrow and should be able to play but I don’t know exactly.”

If there’s any doubt over Salah then it could open the door for Coutinho.

And Klopp would have no qualms about pitching him in for the crunch Group E opener at Anfield.

He said: “Phil is in the squad and there are no problems. He has trained and is in good condition.”
