He said: “It’s tough coming here after being in Thailand and you can’t even get on the practice table.

John Higgins beat China’s Zhao Xintong 4-3 to reach the last 32. VETERAN Ross Ford insists new boss Richard Cockerill won’t let Edinburgh get carried away after their brilliant start to the Pro14.

And Ford, Scotland’s most-capped player, is convinced Cockerill will make sure there’s no complacency at Myreside.
He said: “We’ve had a couple of good victories and scored a few tries.
“But Cockers won’t allow anyone to get carried away.
“He is an excellent operator and gives us a sense of confidence but he was quick to tell us despite beating the Dragons last week the performance was not what he expects.”
● Tim Swinson wants to mark his 100th Glasgow appearance by crushing Cardiff in Wales.
