The automatic choice

Iveco make life easier for drivers with the Hi-Matic transmission now available on the flexible Daily van

-

VAN drivers are no different from the rest of us – they want maximum comfort in the cab, with performance and fuel economy that leaves them smiling at the end of the day.

Enter Iveco’s Daily Hi-Matic, a van that delivers all of these and even more.

It is an eight-speed automatic in various versions, including a high box style or flatbed, single wheel or double wheel.

Frankly, all commercials should be automatic these days, whether they are stop/start around town, flying from country to city with deliveries or doing long distances.

It just makes sense that anyone whose job depends on driving has as easy a time as possible behind the wheel – and that’s the beauty of the slick, smooth auto box.

The van itself comes in three trim levels – Urban, Regional or International, depending on what job you want it for.

Urban has two lower powered engines with either 116hp or 136hp, more than enough grunt to scuttle about town and keep the fuel figures down while the mpg goes up.

Like the Regional and the International, it comes with the capacity to carry from 7.3 cubic metres to 19.6 cubic metres depending on what style you opt for.

The wheelbase can be specified at 3000mm going up to 4100mm. That’s quite a lot of variations available in one van. As standard it comes with Bluetooth, cruise control, USB charging and the box van has a 270-degree rear door.

The Regional and International versions come with more powerful engines for a heavier job. Both are available with units that deliver 136hp, 180hp or even 205hp.

The Regional is perfect for flexibility and those who need a load lugged, and is equally at home on rural roads and city roads, while staying as efficient as possible.

The International is for the long haul, when you need a vehicle that will take you all the way there and back in maximum comfort. No more aching backs.

The Daily Hi-Matic is quiet and smooth, a van that will become your best friend as you clock up the miles.

For those using it as a small business, there is the option to download the Daily Business Up app and make full use of the access it gives you to sat nav, the user handbook and a driving evaluation system – good for keeping costs down.

For day-to-day customer visits, there is a bench seat and table. There are loads of accessories and features that can be added on to customise your cab so that it is exactly right for you, including a multimedia system and GPS.

The Daily Hi-Matic gives you 21st technology, comfort, fuel efficiency and the kind of performance you expect these days from your van.

It’s highly desirable – as you can see for yourself at the AM Phillip test drive event at Uphall Golf Club, Broxburn, West Lothian, next Tuesday, from 9am to 4pm.
