LIAM Gallagher has hinted he had an awkward moment on the Graham Norton Show – with an apologetic tweet to the chat show host.

In typical four-letter fashion, the former Oasis frontman said he was sorry for being a “sketchy little f*** er” and admitted that he struggled to respond to the “chit chat”.

He also posted a message praising Idris Elba, who joined him on the BBC One show’s sofa.

The 45-year-old wrote: “Graham Norton, you are an absolute dude. I apologise for being a sketchy little f***er can’t handle the chit chat as you were LG x.”

The show featuring Gallagher and Luther star Elba, who had a fallout at a 2013 awards ceremony, will go out on Friday, to coincide with the release of the singer’s new album. FOOTBALLER Danny Swanson was challenged in court over his account of his friend’s death yesterday.

The Hibs midfielder clashed with QC Derek Ogg as Marcus Brown, 18, one of three teenagers accused of murdering Shaun Woodburn, walked free from court.

Ogg, representing one of the two other accused youths, accused Danny, 30, of having “selective memory lapse” over the New Year’s Day killing.

Shaun, 30, died after violence erupted outside a Leith pub owned by Danny’s father and uncle.

The defence QC suggested that Danny was trying to show his family and friends in a good light with his evidence.

Danny – who has told the court he was not drinking during the Hogmanay party at Gladstones Bar – admitted there were some parts of the incident he could not recall clearly

But he was “positive” junior footballer Shaun, a close friend of his, had been punched then kicked.

“You have a form of selective amnesia. Is it a chronic problem or is just that night?” asked Ogg.

“Just that night. It was a big night,” replied Danny.

Asked by Ogg about discrepancies between his police statement and his evidence, he insisted: “I saw it clearly. I’ll never forget that. He hit him. He took a step back then ran and kicked him.”

Danny has already identified Ogg’s 17-yearold client as the person who he said punched Shaun then “kicked his head like a football”.

He said. “He (Shaun) was in a serious state before he was kicked. I could hear his head hitting the ground.”

Danny was also asked about a video which appeared to show a brick being thrown by his cousin Steven.

He replied: “That’s not what killed Shaun. I saw what killed Shaun. This has nothing to do with it.

“Are you trying to say a brick hit Shaun?”It’s got nothing to do with how Shaun died.”

Yesterday, on the 10th day of the trial at the High Court in Dunfermline, all charges against Brown were dropped.

The 17-year-old and Mohammed Zakariyah, 18, remain on trial.

Both defendants, from Edinburgh, deny all charges against them, including the murder of Shaun.

The trial, before Lady Stacey, will resume on Monday.
