Games start unholy row

HIGHLAND games chiefs have been shocked after receiving a letter from a religious group urging them to stop holding their events on Sundays.

The Sabbath Observance Committee of the Free Presbyterian Church sent the request to the organisers of Markinch Highland Games in Fife.

Secretary Shane Fenton said he was he was “astounded”. The church didn’t comment.
