Pa­tients put trust in GPs

MOST pa­tients are against their GPs be­ing re­placed by other health pro­fes­sion­als, a sur­vey shows.

A short­age of GPs means ad­vanced nurse prac­ti­tion­ers are be­ing brought in by some health boards.

In a poll, 79 per cent of Scots sur­veyed say they trust their GP first and fore­most.
