BBC1, 9.30pm SOME viewers thought this bowl of porridge should not have been reheated – it left fans of the original rather cold.

But it has a good cast, ably led by Kevin Bishop as Fletch, who had the impossible task of filling the boots of Ronnie Barker.

So before you cast it aside, this second episode is funny and enjoyable on its own merit.

There’s trouble for all tonight when prison bad boy Dougie Parfitt (Harry Peacock) wants a favour.

He wants the innocent-looking Aziz (Harman Singh) to take delivery of a banana and walnut cake from his aunt. Of course it’s not really his aunt, it’s a lap dancer from Cardiff. And it’s a very special cake.

Elsewhere, Joe (Dave Hill) amuses throughout as he tries to remember the names of prison movies.

Of course, no one else is old enough to know what he’s talking about, but some of us might be...
