PRICE FREEZE PROMISE

-

PLUS-SIZE fashion firm N Brown have vowed not to raise prices, despite taking a hit from the Brexit-fuelled slump in the pound. The company’s profit margins fell in the six months to September because of sterling’s weakness against the dollar, in which they buy their stock. Other fashion firms have upped prices as a result. But N Brown boss Angela Spindler said: “I haven’t raised prices in my time and it would be a last resort.” N Brown’s half-year revenues rose 5.6 per cent to £453million. Takings at its Simply Be arm were up 21 per cent, while menswear range Jacamo, plugged by ex- England cricketer Freddie Flintoff, was up 6.7 per cent.
