A SCOTS schoolboy became an internet sensation after a clip of him playing the bagpipes while windsurfing went viral.

Max Rae’s version of Scotland the Brave – played while riding in the wake of a boat – has been viewed more than 19,000 times online.

Max, 12, from Bridge of Allan, Stirlingshire, is a regular at a Dundee watersport centre and is a member of his school’s pipe band.

It seems Max isn’t alone when it comes to extreme bagpiping. From playing while whizzing down a zipline at 50mph to hitting the high notes on the international space station, some people can’t get enough of piping in thrilling places.
