2 DAYS TO GO

Ntcham warns France & Bayern buddy Kingsley Celtic will not roll over

- Time when together

is coursing through Hoops veins. With Celtic and Bayern both being spanked by Paris St Germain in the group, the contest in the Allianz will have a huge bearing of who finishes second in the group behind the French giants.

Bayern are big favourites to strengthen their bid on home soil but Ntcham refuses to be beaten before a ball is kicked.

He said: “They’re a good team but we have a chance to go there and do something against them. We have to believe we can.

“In Europe anything can happen. Can Bayern win the competition? I don’t think so.

“PSG are a very tough and strong team but it’s hard to compare the two because we have played against PSG and we haven’t played against Bayern. We will have a better idea after Wednesday.

“You are always learning and we will learn again on Wednesday night. You’d have to ask the manager but I always hope to play.”

Ntcham certainly did his chances no harm with a good show against Dundee at the weekend.

As well as his winning goal, the Frenchman was the best of the midfield trio as the champions overcame Neil McCann’s brave outfit.

Rodgers used the opportunity to hand outings to a host of fringe men and they delivered by keeping the team top of the table with the 1-0 success. Ntcham says the win once again outlined the strength of the squad and that the success has kept the feelgood factor running within the group ahead of their huge Champions League task.

He said: “It was a difficult game for us. We started a little slowly but we got better the longer the game went on.

“For the players who came in, it was a good experience because they haven’t been playing a lot.

“Eboue Kouassi had been injured and Cristian Gamboa hadn’t played a lot this year, so it was okay for them and I enjoyed my goal a lot.

“We are confident after that win and it was good for the coaches. To have a good squad and to stay together is important.”
