INVINCIBLE

-

SCOTT SINCLAIR is determined to be the main man for Celtic tonight after feeling more like the invisible man on his last visit to Bayern Munich.

The Hoops ace was part of the Manchester City squad who took on the German giants in the Champions League in 2014.

But Sinclair felt left out – as he didn’t even bag a seat on the bench.

The attacker admitted he then suffered some lows after losing his love for the game at Aston Villa.

But he’s making the most of being an Invincible with Celts now and is determined to make an impact in the Allianz Arena at last.

Sinclair said: “I have been here before with City so it’s nice to come back and be more involved.

“It’s a huge difference to the last time as I wasn’t involved at all. I wasn’t even on the bench.

“I was the 19th man for City back then but now I’m coming back with a role to play and I am enjoying it.

“It just goes to show the progression in my career but I want to keep progressing and improving.

“I’m at Celtic and enjoying playing Champions League football.

“I am in a much different head space now. I am enjoying playing, I’m scoring and winning.

“It was tough getting relegated at Villa and the dark days when you are maybe not getting a game. But it’s different now.

“You need to enjoy these occasions because this is what it’s all about.”

Sinclair will be one of Celtic’s big threats in attack – but he admitted the Hoops will need to keep tabs on Bayern dangerman Arjen Robben.

The Dutch master was a team-mate of the winger when the pair were at Chelsea and he insisted the veteran superstar is still one of the best in the business.

Sinclair said: “He was unbelievable at Chelsea. I looked at him as a wide player and some of his touches were unreal – you just look at the way he can go past players.

“At that time at Chelsea there were guys such as Damien Duff, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joe Cole – as well as Arjen. It was difficult for me to get past a few of those players as an 18-year-old.

“Arjen was right up there. He’s world class and you can see he still has his qualifies. Everyone knows what he is going to do but stopping him is a different matter.

“You need to double up on him and make sure when he does cut in, he is running in to more bodies.

“I’m sure I’ll be running back more than usual but that’s OK, it’s about doing the job for the team.

“We can’t be fazed by the good players in their team. We have to play our own game.

“Arjen is world class and I looked up to him at Chelsea.

“He is one player we need to stop but they have so many world-class players.”

Robben is just one of the big names but there are plenty of others including World Cup winners such as Thomas Muller and Polish goal machine Robert Lewandowski.

The Bundesliga big guns sacked Carlo Ancelotti following defeat to PSG in the Champions League but Sinclair isn’t banking on Bayern being in disarray.

He said: “I don’t buy any of that talk about Bayern being in crisis. They have world class players in their team.

“There’s almost too many to mention.

“When there’s a change in manager it can disrupt things but I would expect them to go out and play their normal game.

“We need to step up and do as well as we can.”

Bayern roared back to form at the weekend under returning gaffer Jupp Heynckes but Sinclair is adamant Celtic are in far better shape having learned from their opening group games.

The PSG pounding was a painful one for the Parkhead men but the impressive victory against Anderlecht has sent confidence soaring again.

Bayern are a cut above the Belgians but Sinclair is still confident the Hoops can get a positive result in Germany.

He said: “Every game we play at this level we can gain experience.

“PSG were unbelievable
